The Future Patient

I’m launching my book, The Future Patient, in New York City on World Heart Day, and I’d love to see you there.
We chose the date on purpose. Roughly 1 in 3 deaths worldwide is cardiovascular, and most of those people are handed a diagnosis without a map. I had Janet, my family, strangers online who had gone first, and AI covering the hours they couldn’t.
The book is the behind-the-scenes account of all of it: my heart journey, what Janet and I learned as patient and caregiver, how I actually used AI, and where I believe the patient experience is heading. QR codes throughout link to the video journals we recorded from the ICU through home recovery, so the patient coming after me can see it firsthand. Dr. Eric Roselli, Chief of Adult Cardiac Surgery at Cleveland Clinic, wrote the foreword.

An evening with patients, caregivers, and the people building what’s next.
Alongside family and friends, the room will hold fellow heart patients and colleagues from health, life sciences, advertising, and technology. The mix is the point.
It is rare to get patients, caregivers, and the people building the future of healthcare together in one room. The conversation that night will be about where this is all going, and about how to shine a light on the intricacies of the patient experience for everyone who comes after us.
